Heritage Reports
Prepared to support planning and listed building consent applications, our Heritage Reports describe the history and significance of a heritage asset and explain how proposed works have been informed by that understanding. This is combined with historical research using archive records, historic maps and other documentary sources to build a comprehensive picture of the building or site's development. Statements of Heritage Significance
Understanding a building or site's heritage significance is at the heart of every successful heritage project. The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) defines significance as the value of a heritage asset to this and future generations because of its archaeological, architectural, artistic or historic interest. That significance can arise not only from the building or site itself, but also from its wider setting.

Heritage Impact Assessments
We assess how proposed development may affect historic buildings, sites and places, whether they are nationally designated (such as listed buildings and conservation areas) or locally recognised for their heritage value. This includes considering the impact of alterations to the historic fabric of a building, new additions to listed buildings, as well as how new development may affect the character and setting of nearby heritage assets.
